It is not necessary to apply to the RénoClimat program to obtain Hydro-Québec’s subsidies. The homeowner can contact Hydro-Québec directly. There are certain criteria to be eligible. The main one is that you must be a homeowner and the work must be done by a certified installer. The heat pump must appear on Hydro-Québec’s list of eligible heat pumps as listed on the Hydro-Québec website. It is very important to check the eligibility criteria before installation.
The application for a Hydro-Québec heat pump subsidy does not require an energy advisor to visit your property.
